The suburban recreational area Matylda is located in the immediate vicinity of an artificially created impassable reclamation lake in the northwestern part of the town of Most in the municipal district II. Souš. The suburban recreation area Matylda was created by reclaiming the landscape after mining activities. The reservoir has an area of 38.7 ha and an average depth of 3.5 to 4 metres and is used for recreation, water sports and fishing.
The banks of the reservoir have a beach and parkland setting. The beach is rocky and sandy, with access to the water via concrete panels and floating piers. The natural water area is intended for swimming in the open air.
The area includes constructed cycle paths, an asphalt track for in-line and cyclists with a total length of 4 km. There are rest areas, grassy areas, which are regularly maintained. The layout of all cycle paths and the route of the in-line track can be seen on the map of the Matylda complex.
