Dlouhá Louka was formerly a separate municipality, but since 1961 it falls under the town of Osek. The village is characterized by a church and several typical 19th-century estates from the Ore Mountains. Today, the village is mostly recreational. On the western edge of the village on Vlčí hora was built a telecommunication mast with accessible gallery serving as a lookout tower. In good visibility, Klínovec, Ještěd and even the northern part of Prague-Kobylisy can be seen. There is a winter running area in the village that offers 55 km of mechanically maintained cross-country skiing tracks for both classic and skating. There are several circuits with different difficulty in the beautiful landscape. From Dlouhá Louka, the tourist route leads to the highest peak of the Ore Mountains (Loučná), which measures 960 m. Loučná is also the starting point for winter cross-country skiing routes and also for summer cycling.
