The Podkrušnohorské Technical Museum was established in 2003 in the area of the former underground mine Julius III in Kopiste near Most. It gives visitors an insight into the history of coal mining and processing in the central part of the North Bohemian brown coal basin.
The atmosphere of the authentic underground mine in which the museum is located is emphasised by the historical exhibits on display. Among other things, the museum allows visitors to "climb" into an artificially created tunnel. The exhibitions show the customs, customs and traditions associated with mining life and the restoration of the landscape disturbed by mining activities.
Attractive real exhibitions also present ore mining in the Ore Mountains. It offers children the opportunity to experience the work of ancient miners in the Ore Mountains. A new feature this season is a ride on the circular railway.
Must be booked well in advance.
