The fairytale trip starts behind the panel houses in the Čapkova housing estate, where it continues with a short climb on the ridge of the hill with a beautiful view of the Bezovka valley.
The fairy-tale forest in Bílina grew up in the 1970s. Jaroslav Sekyra gradually made and placed 130 fairy tale characters and animals in the forest. In the 1990s, he stopped taking care of the forest due to his health and his work was taken over by several volunteers. In recent years, however, there have been only partial modifications or partial replacement of the figures. These efforts were very important to keep the Fairytale Forest from completely disappearing, but it was still not possible to fully restore it. The purpose, mission and goal of the association is primarily the revitalization of the Fairytale Forest, which it has been doing since 2018 with the support of the town of Bílina.
